Tastes like laughter

It is good to breathe sunlight, to
drink the wind
Take a breath, deeply
exhale thoughts, as random
flames burn brightly between your eyes, blinding
blinding, the sun within
a deep warmth fills me, a hymn
my sun, my eyes, my moon

I am not here, no, but
am song, born of moon
It is time to lie down upon the rock on the shore of the lake
Take these words, caress, as water loves the stone
a bright warm dream, impressions forming vapor
to fall again tomorrow, drunk as rain
words singing with each drop

You are written, pages
to violent storm, journal
to silent snowfall
whispers in cool shadows, invitations to
allegory, eclipse to blue moons
Your skin, inscribed with gold, melting
in a rain that never ends, and a sky

that tastes like laughter
